Obtained from Sangiovese rootstock, which in Montalcino is called Brunello.
Vinified, following local tradition.
It has an intense ruby red colour, which tends towards garnet as it ages.
Its perfume is ample, intense, and persistent with shades ofundergrowth, red jam and liquorice, ethereal after a long ageing.
It has a dry warm taste, quite tannic and soft.Combining with wild and roast meats, and seasoned cheese.
