Our Riserva is produced only in the best vintages with the best organic Prugnolo Gentile grapes, picked by hand in our vineyard in Montepulciano.
The grapes are selected on a double sorting table before and after separation from their stems, and this is followed by a soft pressing allowing the juice to flow naturally into french oak 400 litre Tonneaux, where the alcoholic fermentation and a long maceration of the skins takes place. The malolactic fermentation and the following 24 months of ageing happens in French oak Tonneaux and barriques. After blending in these barrels the wine continues its ageing process in cement tanks for a further 12 months. The wine is bottled without filtration, and allowed to age for a further 12 months before being placed on the market.
Uncork a few hours before serving.
Serve at a temperature of about 18 ° C ( 64°F).
